Hi

Looks like I may go to that too.

You need the Dodge! Nice and local for fuel!

Cheers

I was fortunate enough to get along to the launch day for this new event today, and there were some cracking motorcars on display. The event in August is set to comprise timed runs for old and new cars, motorcycles, plus helicopter and boat action elsewhere in the grounds. A few pics, I'll add more to the main site shortly..

Highlight of the day was the chance to go as a passenger in some highly entertaining cars, driven at decent pace around the new course .. first up, a ride in a 250 swb Ferrari, complete with wonderful V12 soundtrack:

then a works Bentley Speed Six, ex Le Mans Shocked

and last but not least, a ride in a local 300 SL Gullwing, another one of my all-time favourite cars Cool

Definitely a day to remember Smile

Just a quick update, the Pageant of Power is this weekend coming up - Sat and Sun, is anyone else planning to go? I'll be finding out more about it tomorrow, but I'll be going on Saturday at least, maybe Sunday too depending on how another event that I'm meant to be attending on that day pans out.

Went over for the "setting up" day at Cholmondeley today. Its shaping up to be a grand day out by the looks of it, I spent most of my time mooching around the paddock area and took some photographs, a selection of which below:

Off over there tomorrow for Day #1 proper, more pics to follow Smile

ex-Schuey Benetton I think, aye I've seen these before, easier to wheel & steer the cars around on in the paddock, rather than the fat sticky race wheels & tyres!!

Hi
Did I spot 2 Bristol engined cars?
Top one looks like an Arnolt/Bristol and is the silver one a Bristol engined Lotus?

LOY 500 is a Tojeiro Bristol, the (unpainted) silver car is a Lotus XI I think, usual power source a Coventry Climax unit, see:
