Hi

I am sending this mail out to various people with old cars, I am organising a meet on Monday 30th June at 7ish, this will take place at the Horse Shoe pub near Nantwich. Visit http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/265792 to find out where this is.

It will be a matter of just turning up, and hopefully there will be some other people there, I am only inviting perhaps 10 people, and am not sure how many will turn up, I know I will be there! If you know anyone who has an old car, or an interest in old cars, feel free to turn up, you can leave as early or as late as you like! I know someoff you have a distance to come, or no classic on the road, but coming in a modern car is fine too!

Anyway, hopefully you can come, and will see you all there!

Cheers any problems get back to me!

Dave

I think I can make this one Very Happy , the ironic thing is, from my house I can walk to the pub in about 45 seconds, yet its about a mile to drive Shocked , I'll have to arrive in a car though, will be the Stag.

Hi

I had to use the Ford today to go to a carboot, as the peueot has fuel issues, anyway, decided to go to work in ernie tomorow, will mean setting out at between 7 and 7.30 but hey, who cares!

Then I will have it ready for the doo.

I have put my pump in the cab,and a few other bits, but now I have thought of taking everything, I bet I either forget something really basic, or I find it won't go, so have to come in another car, leaving everything in the Ford! hehe

Cheers

Dave

Yup a good inaugural turnout, buzzy's pickup, my A40, ukdave's Moggy tourer, plus a smart Reliant Sabre 6, a pair of Stags (one modified to 24v Ford V6), and a mid green Minor. A few other people were milling around too, minus their chariots, so with a little luck word will spread about this informal evening gathering! I had planned to take some more pics, so hopefully buzzy has a few to add to this handful..

Hi

Yep, I have told a few clubs, but if you can tell anyone else please do.

I will have to wash Ernie, but not too much as dirty is good in my eyes! There is no salt, so a litthe dust is fine by me!

Did we tell the horse shoe we were ,making it monthly, if not, I am sure he won't turn some business away, and I will let him know this time!

Cheers

Dave

P.s

Is it audlem this weekend?

Hi

Good news on the Morris, well as good as selling can ever be if you see what I mean!

Have just washed the pickup, gets me how awkward it is to wash it with a canvas on the back! Then drove it around town to dry off. Saw a work friend, so stopped for a chat, and then drove into my garage wrong, I normally reverse, and I went forwards, big mistake, 10 mins of shunting, and a few rude words!

UK, You coming to Audlem?

Cheers

Dave

Another respectable turnout of cars this evening (no pics alas), ukdave's Stag, my A40, buzzy's penny farthing, a Mini Clubman, 1920s (?) Hudson tourer + a '49 Hudson, Model AA truck (same one as was at Audlem yesterday, minus tool display), S1 Landy, Porsche 914, Ginetta G4, hot rod Pop, and a W123 Merc on German plates.
