I'm putting an alarm in my car. A 57 Zephyr converted to negative earth.
It has a pair of wires for 'starter immobilisation'. This circuit will be closed when the alarm is off and open when the alarm in on to stop the started motor working. The two wires are quite heavy duty.
Should I use them to interrupt:
a) The cable from the solenoid to the starter
b) The cable from the ignition switch to the Solenoid
c) The cable from the battery to the starter solenoid
d) The cable from starter solenoid to the voltage regulator

I'd say B as well....
Mine had what looks like a DIY pull switch immobiliser which isolates the coil and fuel pump Car will still turn over but not run...which is useful at times. When it's not been run for a while I'm able to crank it over to get some oil pressure prior to starting
