When the new style reflective number plates were introduced, garages used to make them up. The plate itself used to be aluminium, and the numbers/letters used to be plastic ones that were held on with clips behind the plate. Is this type still available? If so, can anyone suggest a supplier please?
If their postage costs are a bit high, I could pick them up for you and send the plates over. _________________ Brian

Guys, this is the style of number plate I will be looking for.
The original number to the car. You can believe that I am enjoying tracing the history of the car now.... I think you can see the reason that I would like two new ones!

The name "ACE" comes to mind for those style of plates. I remember making up the jigs for punching the holes in the plates for each letter. You then pressed the protruding lug after placing a small washer on the back. _________________ 1964 International Harvester

You won't get that style of backing plate or letter font in the UK. I know that Tippers are desperately short of some letters in the UK fonts, and so almost certainly won't have Euro fonts. _________________ Brian
