Just thinking about replacing the oil in the shock absorbers on the old Ford Popular and wondered if anyone could suggest which oil to use?

Here is a spec sheet as it is special oil and not easily obtainable
https://www.amsoil.com/msds/stl.pdf
I would personally go to a motorbike shop for easy supply as the good one including racing ones re-oil the shocks themselves

A mechanic told me to use hydraulic jack oil, I've used it for 25 years and no problems.

The one thing I do know about it is that the shock absorber oil has anti foaming agents in as the foamed oil would decrease efficiency of the shock absorber
