Living the dream...ok so my petrol pump decided to give in the other evening after a local event but am enjoying meeting all the classics locally.

Thanks Chaps! Got a new petrol pump toady so am hoping to get that back on tonight. I don't have many pics of my car from the car meets I've been to at the moment. I think there is the last meet of the year tonight at the place the pic was taken above (The Maltsters at Ranworth on the Norfolk Broads) but don't think I will make that one. I will try to get out maybe if there is a nice evening or weekend so I can take a few more.

Well still running in the engine but up to about 350 miles so far should go above 3000rpm but have given it a quick squirt up to about 5000 rpm a couple of times...things start happening very quickly over 3500 when full boost is reached.
Anyway heres another pic I took just with my phone but I kinda like this shot.

Been keeping at it tweaking and tinkering. Seem to have mended a small oil leak from the turbo that was driving me mad.
Just need to sort and fit a boot carpet. I can buy the stuff from Woolies for £50.00 and DIY or buy parts news for £215.00
Any way here is a small vid just taking it out one evening for a nice cruise.

You are absolutely right I have been driving around listening to Duran Duran but before I made the vid I saw the clip from the film "Withnail & I" with the Hendrix tune and couldn't get it out of my mind.
Any way Driving gloves are cool! hahah I say so!

You need another video. Loved the last one but I would love to see this!
Having spent my best years in the 80's, luv that decade. The music was good some of the cars not as good!!! Except yours of course.
Summer is coming. Would love to see a video in the Lotus with "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley.

Tonight I was driving cross country, towards my Sisters house.
lots of nice twisty backroads, and i was thinking of your video.
Guess what came around the corner  a Red Lotus Esprit 
Didnt get a chance to see if it was a proper turbo ? (too busy checking if it was your plate )

Yes this was/is Denmark, the one in your link is Swedish thou, but the private (fake) plate, has the Danish Red frame on it  wonder why he had it made like that ? maybe its in Denmark now ? but in the other pics, it has Swedish plates.
