I have to agree with Phil - I'm seldom that lucky - usually the visible rust is the tip of the iceberg. Further investigation typically reveals rot in about five or more panels where they meet.
An example of this is the rear jacking point on the Anglia which I'm working on. So far repairs/replacement are in progress to the jacking point, centre sill membrane, outer sill, inner sill, spring hanger and cross-member.
Satisfying work, though, replacing rusty steel with new! |

Only just read this thread, seem to have not been to this one before, not sure why!
Looks like real fun, love doing panel welding like that!
No need to worry about overloading us, keep as much as possible coming!
Are you hoping to paint it yourself too?

A couple of updates
Front Train completed everything renewed, cleaned and painted
ready to bolt back on
Front engine bay etch primed ready for paint
Done a few other ancillary bits ready to go on but am now concentrating on bare metalling the body and doors _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com
