Hi

Does anyone have any information about penny farthing bicycles or any pictures of them?

I am currently part way through making a rough prototype with a 50" wheel, to try out then when I have that one right will hopefully make a respectable one that I will be able to take to some local shows and have a bit of fun riding around town and on the country lanes!!

Cheers

Dave

Penny farthing update: - Made the front axle and about to order some steel for the rim, ready to be rolled into a circle. Also made some bearing holders yesterday, crude but will work and after all this is only a prototype!

BB

have you tried doing an image search in google, plenty of PF pics in there, and examples of the correct attire to wear while in the saddle Laughing

I have done various searches, but like the page you have found, got some wierd stuff on there, I have found a motorcycle mono wheel for sale, that would be right up your street, fit in the garage in a tiny space and it needs restoring!!
