WELLLL actually while I was there I had the use of a 2005 Mustang convertible, only a V6 though but I nice car, to my surprise I enjoyed it.
I have been working on a rather nasty murder case and it was nice to get the wind in the hair and blow away the smell of death I must say....
I did however get to meet Russell Mitchell from exile cycles
I just popped in _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

I've had a few rental Mustangs over the years and like you found them very capable. Yes, they're a bit plastic'y, but with the roof down they come into their own. Wouldn't mind owning one as a daily driver because with a light right foot they aren't that greedy,
That said I've just bought a diesel Golf and managed 72 mpg over 20 miles at one point last week - you've got a very happy Scotsman here. |

One very happy scotsman
I have a collection of various Renault4s and they all do 55+mpg the 2CV does 70 now it has electronic ignition
I really dont know what the Mustang did I did do a lot of mileage though as I was up and down the westside freeway between Bakersfield and Sacremento
I just filled up everyday at the "federal pool pump"
I dont thinkI would ever buy on, but I love the earlier mustangs like the GT500 and the Bullitt car _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

Yes it does run although its been sat for about 5yrs. For the money I got another one for parts only that had an endinor diesel engine the above one has 96k klm on a petrol
I have seen a few and the chassis rots quite badly but because this was a rare hydraulic lift back it was in excellent condition, bad brush paint job and cills need repairing
I got both Carte Gris so even though the other car is a parts car it has fully matched numbers so I could recommission it _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com
