Southam Rotary Club put on their first attempt at a Classic Car Coffee morning in March.

I thought that it was a good effort and they will be doing it again next year but in April to get more cars there that are only taxed for 6 months of the year.

A few pictures to show the wide range of vehicles there:

1903 Oldsmobile

Morris Cowley

The Cowley's power plant.

1903 Humber Wagonette

Lea Francis plus A40 Farina, a very early one.

The very first production Stag!

An AEC for the truck lovers on here.

My Ro80 is dwarfed by a Scammell.

It was a good location in the grounds of a country house at Stretton-on-Dunsmoore

God that truck brings back memories of leg/arm ache if driven more than twenty miles.I remember that clutch pedal --used to stand up and press the pedal with all my strength just to engage a gear !!
As for the brakes---efficiency was less than average unless you used both feet !!! Accelerates from 0----22 miles per hour in two miles and that was downhill.....Good memories to cherish i suppose..
Those were the days.

Cheers----Ray the Rocker.....
