Well I'm a bit embarrased about this one. I wasn't paying attention as my mind was on the rusted out headlamp bowel..and I managed to strip the air cleaner nut. I managed to salvage this situation by taping the bolt on the carb with a few layers of thick teflon tape. The air cleaner now stays on at least.

Anybody know if this bold can be replaced and where's a good way to find one?

The part CAM6423 looks rather like the part on your 1800.

Not the same part number but might be worth a try.

Or maybe one of these..

Tony Wood, the parts man at the landcrab owners club should be able to supply you with one of those.

http://www.landcrab.net

I did mine last year but one of the members I was at a show with just happened to have a spare!

The landcrab site appears to be down at the moment.

The door locks are very fiddly - rods going into clips (allegedly) but they tend to slip out and the clips descend into the bowels of the door so make sure you have a magnet to hand. One of the passenger door rods on mine is held with superglue as the girl I am carer to insists on putting the lock on and then slamming the door so I have to reattach and re glue the thing about half a dozen times each summer

I would just use elastics or just detach the lock and not bother...but that's me.

Thanks for your advice.

Cant you use a tie clip?
I did mine like that, my daily modern had one door which wasnt locking when central locking was applied, (the rod slipping off the clip) changed the plastic clip and after a couple of days it slipped off again, so I just put a tie clip on the rod and clip!!
It was about 4/5 years ago.

It is an MOT failure for the door not to be able to be opened from the outside. Found that out 2 years ago when the car failed for just that reason Shocked The way she puts the lock on and slams the door it just shatters the normal clips, which is why I have resorted to glue. It is cheaper!!!

The girl can't help it - she is a mentally ill epileptic and sometimes has no idea what she is doing. Damned annoying though Sad
