Hello All,

What is in your shed ?

We are looking for a jockey wheel for our new caravan.
The van is a 1963 Stephens & West "Stirling Castle" 12' model.
We would prefer a jockey wheel of same type, but anything peiod would be OK.
The shaft diameter is approx 1 1/4" or 32mm in new money.

We are also looking for anything else that would have been period, and especially Make & Model correct for her, so if you have anything for sale please let me know and I will see if we need one.

Her name is "Hattie", and she is a beaut ( like all vehicles of her vintage).

We are currently tidying her up, ensuring she is weatherproof before this sunny weather disappears.

She has been measured up for new upholstery and will receive a fresh coat of paint when sealing is complete.

She is actually in a very good state of health and just needs a bit of a face-lift, like her new owners.

If anyone has a Stirling Castle and would like to exchange photos please pm me and we can converse.

Many Thanks
MrCrab

Hi
You may be able to get more info about your Stirling Castle from Stirling Caravan Services (Moonshine, Woodmancote, Cirencester, GL7 7EH) Tony and Dick that run this company worked for Stephens & West until they closed in 1980.
They still have a lot of original info and Dick especially is a 'hive of useful' information.
We went to see them recently to take photos of our 1958 Stirling and also to get info on our 1979 Stirling. He had all the original invoices for the 1979 one and I also managed to get a copy of the original brochure!
If you send him some photos and serial number he may be able to give you some more info.
Hope this helps
Look forward to seeing some photos of the van when work finished
All the best
Gill

Hello Clarina, and thanks for the info.
We have a 1975 sales brochure, and most of the interiors are very similar to ours.
Many Thanks
