Sorry, this lot is a bit uneditted. Weather was excellent on the Saturday so we went on the Sunday when it wasn't.

some beauties there - the unpolished Riley special is very tasty, and a familiar-looking(?) Chevy truck appears in a couple of them too..or am I seeing things?

I noticed that as well! I liked the unrestored Renault, and the half tracked (personnel carrier?) especially Very Happy

Great pics!

Thanks Peter, despite being there for both days - the sunny one and the wet one - I didn't manage to take any pics.

These made up for it - and are better than I would have managed anyway Smile

It was a great show again with so much to see and do.

Glad you picked up the Chevy on the show ground.

Made it home last night about 10 after a round trip of 220 miles - not including the miles commuting to and from on the bike.

Was great fun but after 4 hours each way in the truck I've decided to meet up with the salesman @ http://www.noisekiller.co.uk/ who is in Edinburgh for the festival as the cab needs some soundproofing.

Thanks for your kind replies guys.

I'm glad you liked the Fordson Paul. As you can see from the number of shots taken I was fascinated by it too. I should have taken some video of it. It's a delight to watch and remarkably smooth and quiet.

I normally use a camcorder to take video but on this occasion I was using a still camera and stupidly forgot that I shouldn't shoot vertical formats.

Anyway here's a silly one of a nice stationary engine that only fires occasionally when the governor says so.

Peter

Hi

I have seen a number of these tracked tractors, not all the same, but some are really strange, they did alot of options for traction engines too, not all survive of course!

Great pics though! Cheers

Hi Peter
I don't know if this works with videos, but it does with stills.
Go to your photobucket album and double click on the thumbnail, when the larger picture comes up there should be a rotate option along the top edge.

What a weekend I had at Glamis. On the way up the marina blew a head gasket 5 miles north of Dunblane. My son and his pal also had caravans so they carried on to Glamis and came back for me. I got there at 1030pm.
Saturday arrived and it was a glorious day. Ideal for a head gasket change. Having duly purchased a decoke set from the mini stalls for £8 all was cleaned and refitted ( the stat duly being tossed) I was not too happy with the head between 2 and 3 cylinders but we had to assemble it but on the Sunday coming home it blew again at Gleneagles station. So I will fit another head this week.
Other than that it was not a bad show despite the weather but it got progressively worse as the day wore on and by 5pm going out with the caravan was a bit of a mare.
I was talking to the bloke with the 1911 Renault. He brought it over from America and already it has had a new hood fitted. He is going to get the interior done for next year. Helluva nice bloke to talk to. Some blokes you talk to only want to talk about their own car but he spoke away about the marinas as well.
I was very surprised to see a Ford "Y" type with a first prize...Dont get me wrong it was a lovely car but it had been re registered.
Autojumbles nowadays are crap really. Too many toy and junk stalls. People are making more on ebay which I feel will eventually kill off the autojumble.
But Glamis is always a good show with some lovely cars and commercials. I have a soft spot for the J2 Paralainen. Roll on next year. I will put a video on you tube later on in the week.

OK for stills but I just have to engage brain before releasing shutter for video.

Thanks,

I think he's a C of S minister. I can't remember what it was now but he turned up in something equally impressive last year.

I have uploaded a video of Glamis on youtube under morris marina ecosse. The rain came on very heavy or I would have filmed more. Youtube takes a wee while to upload but you should be able to see it on Tuesday. Cool
