Hello all,
I have just joined the forum and have found the posts very interesting. We have a 1970 Carlight Cassette and a 1960 Car Cruiser Clubman which we have just purchased off E-bay. When I find out how to post some photos I'll put them up.

I have noticed a few of the posts about gas mantles. They are getting near impossible to find now and I have used very successfully in our Carlight the mantles used on modern gas camping lamps. Just tie the string above the lugs on the gas light and make sure the mantle is central then light it. When it is lit the mantle goes hard and hey presto, you have a useable mantle for just a few pence.
