This may be a daft question, but I'm new to the world of 6 volts...

If my new 6v battery is flattened by trying to start my old Ford Pop, which hasnt been started since 1982, what is the best way to recharge it, and what if I need to 'jump' the car to get it going???

Advice appreciated Smile

You can buy chargers that do 6v and 12v -

you'd probably need to go to a specialist battery supplier - or maybe one off ebay:

Jumping from 12v wouldn't be a good idea.

I bought a cheap 6v/12v charger from Halfords a couple of years ago, as Rick says jumping from 12v is not good as well as potentially damaging the batteries you can damage regulators/ control box's.
