come on steve a few more clues would be nice,
i.e. what length is it,
what shape is it, square, rounded, v fronted,
has it a lantern roof, whats the build, is it ally skinned, or hardboard walls, canvas roof or ally, single skin walls or double,
what shape are the windows, are they wood frame or metal ,
whats the mouldings on the outside made of ?
has it got a hitch fitted, if so what type ?
has it got a wooden or a metal chassis/ tow pole/a frame,
they say a picture is worth a thousand words !

Its between 14 and 15ft, round front and back but not as sharp as the winchesters, both ends curve by the same amount.No lantern roof, I believe its allyskinned as the condition is to good for wood being under 3 trees for so long, however the outer window frames are wooden. The mouldings are metal, metal chassis. The Aframe instead of being a C section is an inverted L section. Ball hitch I can't tell you about as its buried. The legs are straight down poles with feet. Sorry I couldn't be more specific but its hard to even be able to touch the van with all the growth around it. If you look at it from the back the rear goes narrower towards the top. It has a single rear window and the front window matches the rear. 2 windows on the side without the door

hi steve, this description is bit better mate,

The pole type corner legs ( as per my 33 Winchester) are late 20s
early 30s but the use of ally skin and moudings are usally found on post war vans

if the van do`s taper at the sides (this is called a tumblehome) this was a unique feature of pre -war Carcrusiers

Wire wheels are rare on any van and again fell out of use buy the late 30s
try and get a photo steve this would be alot easier

Interesting photos RR. I don't know a great deal about old caravans, but despite these vans being quite scarce, I can't see it being particularly valuable as it is - £300-£400 maybe??? Like all things, it's worth whatever someone will pay, but I'd be thinking low hundreds. Being on wire wheels may make it a bit more interesting, as most I've seen pics of are on disc wheels. It'll be interesting to see what the die-hard caravans fans make of it.

nice to see some pics at last steve, is this on the old caravan site by the river, near quorn ?
am afraid your van is post war late 40s to mid 50s if you have a look back on the forum there has been a string going on very similar looking van,
just as a bit of guide pre -war caravans where expensive, and the craftmanship and materials used was always the best ,
after the war caravans, started to be mass produced , and alot where also homemade and the axels of scrap cars where often used, this may explain the wire wheels and the plain inside
as for value, its how much you want to pay for it really
but no more than a few hundred,
if this is not enough i would walk away
there are always other vans out there waiting to be found
