|
|
News of a stolen caravan arrived today, it's a distinctive model so there's a chance someone might spot it ... details below.
-----------------------------------
Hi,
Can I ask you to bring to the attention of your club the theft of a 1976
Cooper Coachworks Caravan owned by Jack and Mary Humphries.
It was stolen in July this year from a secure compound.
If anyone has any details about the whereabouts of the van can they let the
police know on: 0845 33 00 222
Mary is devastated at the theft and I would love to see her reunited with
the van.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

OK! moan coming on!
I noted a similar post a bit back, and last Saturday passed a classic looking van (sorry not personally in to caravanning) on the A1 in the Peterborough area. It was being towed by a series 2 Landrover and all looked pukka and above board, except the reg plate on the Landie and the van did not match. I suspect that someone had quite legitimately borrowed a mates van. If the caravanning fraternity could ensure that the van had matching and proper plates (not ex Mr Kellog) attached it would be much easier to confidently flag up the likelihood of a stolen van.

we store our van at home but it does make you wonder what you actually get when you pay for secure storage as the winchester was also surposed to be secure? |
