Popped in today and she is now down to bare metal on the outside but that unfortunately has revealed some filler and fibre glass that needed repair (more cost ) . The good news is you can see that when she is all done we will be getting back a car that is just metal .

Starting to get excited about getting her back now .

Hi!
Nice to see an Amazon be saved to a continued life.
Here are some useful links to companies in Sweden
in case you cannot get hold of spare parts in England.
It's OK to write in English.
Click the Union Jack for text in English.

For used parts - http://en.bildelsbasen.se
For new parts - http://cvi-automotive.se/webshop/
The Swedish Amazon Club - http://www.amazon.klubben.se

First car I ever owned was an Amazon. A 122S of 1965 vintage. Brought it in 1976 and I remember my dad having to weld the chassis for the MOT. Took it to Germany as a run-a-round for me and the lads while I was in the army.

Simon popped in friday and they are nearly at the repainting stage so some more pics hopefully the next lot will start to show the new colour, they have made up a sample for us to have a look at and Simon is happy with it, he also met the trimmer and we are going leather instead of the vinyl we had originally planned as with two hairy GSD's with big claws the leather hopefully will be easier to look after in the long run.

Another update , primer is starting to appear . The removal of paint from doorshuts is revealing a lot more coats of paint than factory would have originally applied . It looks like those extra coats were what hid the poorer areas so well .

Drivers door and lower tailgate ,

Wings ,

A couple of other cars being worked on ,

Nice! what's the unit set into the top hose? an aftermarket temp gauge sender? or a plug-in pre-heater??
