Does anybody know a good place to hire a trailer to recover a caravan, my usual place has had theirs stolen. I'd normally tow home but it has a small towball on it and I only have 50mm or 2inch, thanks Steve |

Well if all goes to plan I will have a Paladin Wisdom which I must admit I'm over the moon about. My wifes always wanted a Cheltenham Nyala which she now has and for me it was always this Paladin, must be something about the shape |

Hi OVM, thanks for looking, I've asked them to measure it again. I've asked if they will hold it until the 28th then I can trailer it but I know they want it moving quickly so I may loose out on it, although I'm down with flu at the moment, till good chnce to catch up on reading my old caravan magazines and books. Well its all set to collect the van on the 28th. Maybe it is about time I built myself a flatbed trailer for recovering vans, especially knowing of 3 with broken Aframes. Now I have some oak beams and a winch, all I need is an old bb chassis lol |

Last year I came across a fifties Paladin in a farmyard close to Clee Hill in Shropshire. I'll have to see if it's still there. Within a distance of less than two miles we found four fifties vans, all in gardens or paddocks adjacent to houses. |

Hi, we had a simular problem with the 2inch ball hitch when we collected our new purchase a few weeks ago. We hunted everywhere for an old 2inch ball, but could not find one in time. However we were offered a new one from a Co. my husband found on the Internet, but, with the carriage it was £75. So we didn't bother. In the end my husband changed the hitch on the van. What was interesting, was the salesman who was able to supply the new one told us that it was now illegal to tow with a 2inch ball unless the towing vehicle was registered prior to 1st August 1998 ! Not a lot of people know that I'm sure. As it happens we have an early '98 R reg Amazon which would have been fine, however our neighbour who has a T reg Amazon which is exactly the same vehicle would not. |
