A very early Carcruiser, single skin stretched canvas roof, single hardboard skin walls, all wooden chassis, oak tow pole, ash drop down corner steadys,
the name" Brown Owl" was given to the van back in the 30s when it was owned by a rev Royle , who toured round Europe in the van before and after the war, ( in the van was some customs papers, declaring the contents, dating from the 1940s )
after some restoration work, which included new ash steadys, a repaint, new period fabrics, and refitting the original oil stoves , the van was ready for the road, a weeks holiday in wales proved how pratical the van still is
only weighing 12 cwt, and towing at 50 mph all day , the van now belongs to a club member in hull Very Happy OVM[

What I think penman is thinking Rolling Eyes is that the two windows
behind the table are the two windows shown in the side of the
'van in the first photo..... had me a thinking too.
So now I'm thinking there must be two windows at the front of
the 'van as well... is that right O V M ?

1932 !! canvas roof !! isn't it great to see something that old
still on the road.

Cobber.
