Well after all the fun of finding a trailer to recover the Paladin I thought it was time to build myself a trailer.
The basic idea is a B & B chassis with a raised and widened flat bed so it actually sits above he wheels, a winch on the front and a pair of ramps which can slide under the trailer. So if anybody hears of a suitable chassis I'd be glad to hear from you, preferably in the Midlands area.
The trailer of course will be available to free loan to all on here. |

Hi
Why not fabricate a chassis, and put the axles/indespension unitson them, you couldhave a 6 wheeler trailer that way! hehe
I have just made one at work for a 3 ton digger, but with a muck spreader axle to go behind a tractor.
Cheers

To be honest Dave, I don't think my metalwork skills would be up to it |

I will try my hand at welding when I eventually get around to repairing the 2 mig welders that have sat on the end of my bench for the last year, honestly I am getting closer to working on them inbetween customer repairs and still to finish my wireless trailer board, oh and there's just that electric piano in the corner lol. Seriously I do have time to restore my Paladin now I've learned to lock the worksop and switch my phone off |
