here we have some more Eccles Bountys, a very popular starter van , Was made right through the 1950s and under went several cosmetic changes
The first pic is of "as found" coronet" i owned some years ago, the next three pics are of the van restored
this is a early model, note no cut out for the wheel arch, and the shape of the door window is different, this van has a unusual layout two berth, end kitchen
with loo,
the next pic is a bounty that was for sale near Edale in the peak district
had to leave this one the farmer wanted £300 no offers !
and the last pic is a bounty that was for sale some years ago at a club rally

The last bounty looks just like our new purchase, just trying to find a date now. Anyone know how to date the Eccles 'vans from the serial numbers?

my bounty has a cast alloy makers plate showing " The Eccles Caravan Company" on the 'a' frame and the first two numbers are 57...... this is the age... my 54 eccles coronation has a small alloy plate in the wardrobe stating the eccles caravan company birmingham and has a six digit number starting with 54..... hope this helps.
