Hi Car Nut, what a fantastic looking E tyype (typo?)

I expect you have sorted the headlamp bulbs now, but the round ones
are known as 410 bulbs, to replace with halogen you need R12 bulbs such as:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ring-Car-Bulb-Light-R12-P45T-12V-60-55W-Halogen-Headlamp-Bulb-D139-/290633928360?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Electrical_Fittings_MJ&hash=item43ab21cea8

An R12 is just a halogen bulb on a 410 base.

The more common halogen bulb (fiesta / metro / escort etc etc) is 472.

Cool

Hi guys,

Apologies for my absence from the forum.

I will try to get an update on Reggie in the next day or two but at the moment
I have a question about Dynamos.

The bearings were on the way out on my Dynamo a Lucas C42
So I bought a recon one and it had a £100 surcharge because I had
to return the old one.

I have now sourced another C42 but want to get it refurbished / rebuilt or
whatever the term is. Can anyone advise of a place that does this who they
have used?

You can get a C42 that is actually an alternator but cunningly shaped to look like a dynamo. (if that interests you?)

I tell you what, the C42 seems hellish expensive when you can buy a brand new C40 (copy) for about £50!

Julian.

I did see the dynalite but they were 400-500£ Rolling Eyes

Is the C40 the same inside Question
