Hi ...just checking in as a new member -Animal Jack, I have a Morris Minor van I use for work every day. My wife has a Moggy Traveller........and we also have an old Lambretta that we scoot around the coast roads on weekends when we get chance.
I was wondering if anyone has any photos or info' refering to the esso bullet holes (stickers) that esso gave away as freebees in the late 60s /70s . I have seen some on a site called 'isaydingdong' that does some really nice vintage copy stickers....but they dont look like those I remember ?

AIRC they were produced to coincide with the release of the film Goldfinger.

As kids, we referred to them as 'James Bond' bullet holes. Free with petrol and they were applied to every car we could find whether they wanted them or not!

I have seen some repro ones recently but I agree that they don't look like the originals which would have been screen printed onto clear vinyl.

I always wanted Esso stuff when I was a kid, but as my old man was the Operations Manager for Petrofina I wasn't allowed (I could get compensation nowadays for being a deprived child!) So I have just taken delivery of an "I've got a tiger in my tank" sticker from Isaydingdong for the back of my Rover P6B. It's only taken 45yrs Very Happy Tiger tail next!!!
