This is a documentary made for BBC Television. It shows the crew setting off from Alexandra Palace in their Austin 16?? woodie and visting various London landmarks wih bomb sites in between.

Thanks for the link, Peter, but alas, I get a message 'Not available in your area'.

I would have loved to have seen that documentary. I can just remember visiting London in late 1949, prior to the family heading for Glasgow to board ship for Australia. I remember seeing building rubble in many areas, and in one place, through a gap in a fence, seeing a three or four storey building that looked as if it had been sliced in half with a knife- curtains at windows, pictures on the walls and furniture in place.
