This is one for the old auto-sparks among us.

I have a restorer friend in Australia looking for the insulation material
( paper???) that was fitted under the commutator bands on the older Lucas dynamo and starters. He calls it 'elephant hide' and says it's shiny on one side. Anyone know where I can get some?
