Drive it Day is tomorrow! So get those old crocks out of the garage and use them. I'm planning to take the A35 down the seafront to Leigh-on-Sea and back again, always a good route to see old cars Smile I will then drive to work and back in the afternoon. I will of course be taking lots of pictures Wink

What is everyone planning to do tomorrow then? And lets have your pictures here Very Happy

The Cheshire Run is tomorrow (for classic lorries), the half-way point is just a few miles from here, near Whitchurch. The usual plan is several of us congregate at a friend's (1920s) garage, opposite the truck stop they use.

All being well I'll take Compo for a spin, and watch the lorries rumble by.

Hi
There was a gathering in Darwen today.
An Alpine belonging to a Forum member

Mk1 Cortina

The A35 from yesterday.

A couple of chrome bumper MGs

A black bumper MG which has had a 3.9 V8 fitted.

Another BB MG

A clutch of Minis

A horde of Porches

The gathering was sponsored by this place.

It is run by the owner of the 2 Blue MGs and as you can see the workshop and some equipment is available for hire on an hourly basis.

Good pics there. Sadly I only saw one classic in the whole day, a pre-war Buick, ok it was raining in the morning, but still quite sad nonetheless Sad

At least my Austin was out so I did manage to photograph one classic Wink

Saw quite a few oldies during the day. Compo was in good company on Sunday am, while the Cheshire Run went by.

Took the Bradford to a small show at Wentworth Castle (Barnsley) Rather poorly supported though, probably because the weather threatened all day!
Coincidentally arrived in tandem with a Jupiter and at that point we were the first marque to have 2 vehicles represented. Several MGB's and a a couple of Triumph Heralds spoilt that soon.

Our club took about 15 cars on a tour of about 100 miles through the Cheshire countryside ending at the Eastham Ferry on the Wirral.

Saw no other classics all day though....
