I must be getting old - the idea of buying something pre-war that could be used straightaway has been growing in appeal. Last week I spotted this and went to view, after which we did the deal, and today I went back over to collect it - a very scenic, if incredibly twisty, run over the Yorkshire Dales...

Back home, and with the insurance sorted it was out for a quick blast around the block.

It was restored 6-7 years ago, and has been looked after ever since, with just a few flaws to the paint here and there but mainly still very tidy, inside and out. The number has been lost at some time or other, but that's life I suppose.

The Devon may well have to go to make room for this one, but I'm getting to prefer pre-war motors anyway so it won't be the end of the world if the A40 moves on Smile

Hi

Looks a goodlittle toy!

I am notsure it is rick having long legs, or the fact the car isquite small, it looksnarrow,on the trailer, it onlyjust gets across the wooden infill on the trailer! hehe The number isn't that bad, looks quite nice.

I am gladyou are coming round to older cars, you will belooking fora veteran beforelong! hehe

I will pop over one evening soon, when the brakes are done in Edwin, then I can see your new aquisition too. Very Happy

Cheers

Dave

Yeah pop round whenever buzzy, probs best give me a bell first - I'm out n about tomorrow Wink but should be around thereafter. Look forward to seeing the Landy, erindoors liked the look of it too Smile

Yup the Minor was very narrow on the trailer, but when I collected the A7 last year it wouldn't entirely straddle the centre wooden section, no matter well I tried to line it up.

I'll take some when it's next outside.

There's a local VSCC run out tomorrow evening, hopefully not too many miles, all being well we'll take the MM for a spin and see how it goes.....must get some fuel beforehand, as the fuel gauge is u/s at the moment so I'm relying on a dipstick (well, an old piece of bamboo..!)

Wooo love it, nice little car, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Best way to buy them when most of work has been done and any niggles ironed out/
