What a handsome little car! If that were mine I'd be a very happy man.

What a difference a week makes, I took the MM out knowing it'd be a shocking day weather-wise, and I wasn't disappointed! Still, a good test of the electrics if it can drive through the weather we've had today, en route to spectate on the Cheshire Run for old lorries. I've left the de-humidifier running inside it for a while, as there were one or two minor(!) leaks here and there.

The Morris has seen a bit of use over the last few days, a trip into town on Thursday for petrol, then on Friday morning a local hop to the Post Office. Yesterday evening there was a pub gathering I'd not been to before just outside Whitchurch, so it was pressed into service for that jolly. Pootling along at 30 on a fine warm evening, sun just going down, roads quiet because of some sporting "do" on TV, all very civilised Smile

Tomorrow we're off to a local village transport festival, which includes a leisurely road run between two villages, so that should be fun.

As the Morris hasn't been used much recently, I decided to take it for a run out and get some fuel. Once I'd reset the points gap (does anyone know the reference nos for new points?), I pootled into town and got some fuel and gave it an airing.

Exiting the garage as I pulled in was a 1960s Minor (driver didn't let on), and on the drive back I stopped to see if the owner of a nice Series 1 Land Rover stopped in a layby was having any problems (he wasn't). We had a brief chat, then went our respective ways.

The youth in the garage, while I was paying for the fuel, proclaimed that the Minor "must really drink some juice". Quite how he decided that a car little larger than a bubble car could be a thirsty beast to run is beyond me Smile He began to tell me all about the VW Golf he'd bought to replace a Fiat Panda, by this time I'd paid so beat a hasty retreat!

Gave it a run today, first time since January, it went well enough first to pick up junior, then over to a friend's place.
