That TA14 looks very very nice Jason -

Those 2 "vintage" Bentleys look dubious - the first one seems to have IFS and the second is most definately not a vintage engine or bulkhead. I stand to be corrected but W O probably had no say in either. Its getting rather like D type Jaguars - when you see one assume its a copy unless proved otherwise!

Didn't someone build look alikes on of all things a Sherpa chassis a few years ago?

Off to hang my anorak up ----

There certainly are some really dreadful Mark VI recreations out there but these two don't look too bad. (Especially when seen through Jason's soft filter. Wink )

Alvis looks great Jason. Nice turnout of A30/35's there as well. Very Happy

thanks for the comments, I really enjoyed the car show to say it was the first one that I'd entered Very Happy

as they say....'you learn something new everyday'.....I thought the bentleys were real ones (not replicas) Embarassed
but then again I am relatively new to the vintage/classic car scene so I suppose I could be forgiven? Very Happy

The Alvis received a lot of interest with a large group of people stood around it at one point!.... I took great pleasure in telling them all about the restoration of it.

Jason,

You are correct. They were real Bentleys, (assuming your clock doesn't stop in 1930) but not quite as they left the factory.
They are either R Type or Mark VI Bentleys just like the one parked back to back in this photo.

Peter
