Could anyone please tell me where I can purchase red rubber grease from?
I have not found any locally and would like to buy some.

I need it for the white wall trims as the instructions said to put red rubber grease in between them and the tyres.

Any ideas or links?
remember I am in Malta so items must be posted!!

I used some to rebuild the brake and master cylinder on my bedford , its not expensive and comes in a fairly small tube. PM me and I will try to find and send you a tube over... "MO"

The sellers of white wall flaps tell you to use red rubber grease but all that happens is that they fling the grease off & the flaps wear a groove in the tyre, at least they do on radials. Maybe better on cross plies with the harder wall but I haven't tried that - I gave up & purchased white wall tyres. Cheers,JohnDale.

You have to put it on on a regular basis though or is it still the same?
what if you tried sealing the edge all around with some sort of silicone so the rubber grease cannot escape through?

tyres with white walls or white bands are a little too expensive over here and since mine are 13 inch never managed to find any for sale locally, 14 inch are obtainable since thay are fitted to a lot of mercs 123s and 124s!!!

Oh and I too have radials fitted with the inserts!!
so will have to watch out for what you have pointed out, if I find out they r damaging the tyres the cheapest would be to take them off and leave the tyres without them!!
