Austin Morris LD

The 1 ton LD van came with a body capacity of 235 cubic feet, and came with either petrol or diesel engine. There was also a 1.5 ton version of this popular vehicle, and could carry 275 cubic feet of payload. This useful vehicle first went on sale in 1954, badged as either Austin or Morris but identical under the skin, bar a slightly different grille treatment. The majority of LDs were bodied as vans by the factory, but a small number were also available as dropside trucks, bodied by coachbuilders such as Walker & Son of Watford.
