Press releaseForest Hill & District Car Club charity show.[Return to the main Press Releases page]Greenwich. Sunday 15th July 2007 Forest Hill & District Car Club is proud to host its 3rd annual show. An eclectic mix of cars from the 1920s to the early 1980s will be on show in the grounds of Devonport House, next door to the National Maritime Museum. The show will be opened by the Mayor of Greenwich and the local Pearly Kings and Queens, and prizes presented and the show closed by the Mayor of Lewisham, Mr Steve Bullock. Last year we had over 60 cars on show and over 2000 people attending. Entry to the event is £3. All profits go to 2 local charities: St Christopher’s Hospice and the New Lodge Riding Centre. Last year we were able to raise £2051 which was split equally between each charity. Forest Hill & District Classic Car Club is the only all make car club in London and was founded in 2003 by Graham Tucker. We have monthly meetings where we discuss all manner of car related nonsense, drink tea and have talks on handy and useful car stuff !
