1934 Standard 10.
Initially I was thinking of the Standard 9 when I saw this old photo, but the arrangement of the door hinges (suicide front and rear), and the distinctive profile of the front bumper, suggests that this is in fact a Standard 10, dating to 1934 or thereabouts. It is shown here driving along the front at Blackpool, taking part in a road run for vintage and pre-war motorcars. A couple of other cars seen on this event already feature on the site, including this 12/50 Alvis.

The Standard was registered JB 4985, a Berkshire-area number issued between 1932 and 1936. A check on the vehicle licensing site shows no record of this pre-war Standard, so chances are its no longer with us, unless the number was sold on and the car lives on with another identity. A Humber Hawk and A35 are also visible, parked in the background. Note the car's full-width wheel discs, an aftermarket fitting.

Other Standards to feature in this section include a slightly later Flying 10, a Ten-Twelve, and the boxy post-war version of the Ten here.
