The Upper cylinder lubricant. As supplied by United Lubricants Ltd. Carburol Charlie appeared in this series of advertisements aimed at extinguishing the so-called Dry Zone problem. I think this refers to a cold engine starting dry of oil for a few seconds til the oil had circulated around the engine. This ad is simply highlighting this campaign and making garage owners aware of this campaign and the hoped-for upturn in sales that should result. |
