Postwar fuel supplies were still limited in 1949 so oil companies such as Cleveland had to promote their other services until such time as full-time fuel supplies were restored. The chisel-chinned driver looks back approvingly as a trim young gal smartly dressed in company uniform offers to fill 'er up (but as fuel was in short supply I dont know what would be in the pump shes holding???). |
