Martin Walter were best known for their range of Utilecon estate car bodies - forerunner of the MPV really. 5-6cwt and 10-12 cwt models were available for Austin and Bedford chassis. Many Utilecon bodies were also fitted to Fordson and Morris running gear - see the Ford E83W site for more information on the Fords that often had this type of body fitted. Martin Walter Ltd was based at the Utilecon Works at Cheriton Road in Folkestone.
