In association with Crompton Parkinson Ltd this company built and marketed their unusual Morrison-Electricar electric vans from premises on Victoria Embankment in London WC2. We are told that the 40 or 50cwt Morrison-Electricar saves 10 to 15 shillings a week when compared to a similar size petrol wagon doing 200 miles per week. This silent hygienic and easy-to-drive vehicle will solve your wartime local haulage difficulties and is unaffected by petrol restrictions. So long as you had a Proved Need you could operate one of these vans. Smaller 10cwt and 20cwt utility vans were also available. For heavier loads a 5 ton flat deck lorry or 7 cu yds refuse collector could be requested. |
