Good to see them Smile There were quite a few Imps and derivatives when we called in at Gaydon earlier in the year, I think they had a gathering timed to coincide with a Historic Rally Car show.

Great to see these.
I have owned a couple of Imps too, currently a very nice 67 Chamois. And a 68 Husky I have to restore some day, it has a bad body but I have a rust free Saloon shell as well.

Nice to see them, and brings back memories.
My first car was a Hillman Imp Californian, which for those that dont know, is single headlight, standard engine, but coupe roof, as on the Stiletto.
I had a head on with an RS2000, and my brothers first ever attempt at body repairs was to cut off the front, just behind the headlights, and replace with twin headlight front. It was a bit out of line, and always looked like it was turning right Laughing I wonder if it still on the roads.?

I also had a ginetta G15 and several other imps, and a Chamois.

Here in France, there is a very tasty 1040cc engined imp for sale on a fench website for €14000, and even a Clan Crusader for sale at €12000

Im certainly interested in any updates on whats happening with any restoration. Ive bought magazines for years to read this sort of stuff.

Dont let it stop, love the imps, im glad that someone else does too.

I like Imps simply because of the rear engine idea. PJT are also my initials..would have bought that reg.

The best thing to keep people visting this thread is to please put on images of the ongoing restoration, even old ones.

Good luck with the project.

Like with the Morris 8 threads that have mushroomed over recent months, the more activity there is, the more interest there'll be, and hopefully this will lead to more owners joining up.
