I got this mail from the USA and I thought this might interest our flying enthusiasts:-

"On a recent trip to the Military Aviation Museum at Virginia, I was privileged to see one of the only flying De Havilland Mosquitos in the world. http://www.militaryaviationmuseum.org/

The links below will give you a detailed history of the De Havilland Mosquito, one of the best fighter/bombers of World War II

Isn't it the only flying Mossie currently? My grandfather was a navigator in them during WW2.

There was a recent Channel 4 documentary about its first flight following restoration. http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/forum/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14386&highlight=mosquito

The program was titled "The Plane that Saved Britain". It was presented by (another) Arthur Williams, a wounded ex-serviceman who had gained a pilot's licence.

They were built in other Commonwealth countries. Here is a contemporary film of their construction in Australia.
