My owners book for my Hillman Minx lllB says that seat belts were available as an optional extra.

Does anyone know:

1/. Are there seat belts mounts built in (before I start taking trim off)

2/. where is the best place to look for seat belts?

Wouldn't normally bother but I want but I want to use the car more and keep the kids safe.

I bought my belts from Moss, as they were cheaper than the same on eBay. Don't know about mounting on your car, but my 1966 Humber Sceptre had front belts.

My hunter had inertia reel fitted as standard at the front but no rear belts of course.
Sometimes like kevin2306 I too think about fitting some at the back especially now we have just had a baby.
That way I can use the car more and have some sort of safety for both my children.
But then there are the minis too and both do not have any seat belts at the back!

Hi
I believe UK law required fitting front seat belts from around 63/65, but there was an earlier regulation requiring built in seat belt mountings (Whether front and rear or front only I'm not sure).
