|
|
Finally after loads of jobs I've got my series lllb running and on the road.
New: fuel pipes, fuel pump, carb recond, new plugs, leads, electronic ignition, new dynamator and battery + new wiring.
So...... why when I'm driving does it feel as though it isn't pulling very well? Engine sounds great and always starts and runs well (no blue smoke) but it feels as though the cars running behind the engine as though the the car body is being pulled on elastic?
Any suggestions before I finally give up!!!! |

Sounds like a slipping clutch.

Hi
If your not sure about clutch slip, does it still have any adjustment left?
Make sure there is the requisite amount of free play, if you do it early enough you might avoid too much wear/glazing of the centre plate. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Looks as if it just needs either a clutch adjustment, or at worse a clutch..
