Yes,indeed. My father had all four models proudly displayed on the mantlepiece during the 1950s. As young children we were not allowed to play with them - under any circumstances!
Sadly they seemed to disappear when we moved house in the mid-1960s |

I'm sure everyone knows this but the company went on to call itself SME and make superb pick up arms for playing LPs. |

Hi
While doing some research for a brief history of learning to drive, the driving test and the Motor Schools assoc to which I belong, I came across these.
I know Nailsworth Ladder, rarely used these days, I think they have to get special permission even for anniversary events. Ashley probably knows when it was last done as it is in his area.
BUT What and where is/was Mutton Hill? _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Mutton Hill is a new one to me. The only Mutton Hills I can find are near Hayle, in Cornwall, near Pembroke in South Wales, and near East Grinstead in Surrey. None seem to have the right topography to have a one mile 1-in-4 climb, and I cannot find a hairpin bend near any of them either. However, there are lots of Shoulder of Mutton Hills... |

It looks like it has to be at about 105 mile radius of SW7 _________________ http://www.nostalgiatech.co.uk
