In our house we like our music, it old house but when we rebuilt it a few years ago I took the opertunity to flood wire ethernet, so we have a server that can plumb mp3 stuff round the house, in to Hifi or the kids stuff.

I have an Ipod as do the kids, now I can buy music from Napster but can't then load it on an ipod, or I can buy stuff from Itunes but then no good for MP3. If I buy a cd no problem can sort it all out.

Am I missing something?

Dave

I'm still playing LP's and 45's with a few 78's thrown in. Wink

Not having an 8 year old child in our house or a neighbours to borrow to programme these damn infernal things I don't have an IPod, MP3 Player, Broadband, Wii, Playstation, X-Box, Free-view, Satellite, digital washing machine, in fact the only thing I can work electronically is the VCR - and that's only because it came with "plug & play"!

However I do have a satellite navigation unit in the Chevy, which always gets comment at shows (now that I can find my way to them at last). Rolling Eyes

You mean it isn't real? I am relieved, now I can stop spraying my computer with insect repellent.

Dave,
Maybe the stuff you download from Napster or iTunes which you pay for has been copyright protected.
If you right click any one of the files you have downloaded & check the properties, it's possible the little box is checked. Simply uncheck it & apply.

Alternatively, check the properties of the iPod for similar.
