Without a doubt the waltzers. Old style fairgrounds were the best with 50s and 60s music belting out. I have never been to a steam fair. Only watched them on You Tube. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

| The only part of fairgrounds (or circuses for that matter) that have ever interested me are the wonderful array of normally older trucks and machinery found there. It used to drive my Mum nuts! My Dad understood fully....... |

In the late 60's Blackpool was a regular destination. A group of us would ride the wheels off the Big Dipper, Grand National and the Waltzers.
Last time I was at Disney I found the Teacups a little frightening. I guess the rides have changed since my 'teen years. |

Hi
At traditional fairs I only really enjoy BumperCars/Dodgems.
I'm not really into anything even vaguely white knuckle; except being in control on a skid pan
So far as modern theme parks are concerned I do like and recommend HEX at Alton Towers _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

As a kid I loved the dodgems and the waltzer but years later I went on the waltzer as an adult and absolutely hated it because my head and neck were now above the back rest and were getting flung all over the place. Very uncomfortable!
