|
|
Like most older cars my Lagonda drips a few spots of oil especially for a few moments after a run. Also like many of you I imagine, my wife is on at me to clean the oil spots off the drive! So, do any of you have any recommendations for a degreaser I can use on block paviors? I don't want to jet wash the whole thing but rather something I can just spray onto the drips and either wash off or let the weather do its job! |

A thick paste of Bio powder in hot water - leave on for about 1/2 hour then rinse off _________________ Rover P2

Wouldn't have thought of that! I was thinking of gunk in a hand sprayer or something... |

Jizer is better than Gunk and both are expensive but Bio powder is free _________________ Rover P2

I think once the oil has stained it won't clean off. There are acids or etching cleaners that will etch off the top layer. I've never tried them, I don't know how deep you need to go and then you need to wait for the newly etched patch to "age" again and match the rest of the drive/patio. |

Jizer is extremely effective in my experience. Not sure of how green it is though. |

Brick/driveway cleaner should shift it but as it contains Hydrochloric acid it may remove colour on blocks etc _________________ Rover P2

Thanks for all the advice chaps. As it happens I've not been moaned at too much recently so it can't be too bad but I'll bear in mind the various suggestions! |
