From a much earlier time than the aforementioned Consul, a 110-year-old photo of an impressive Rover touring car.

Rick, I would agree that the Rover is indeed a 16/20. The shield shaped radiator was introduced for the 1907 model year.

There were a few imported into Australia.

Given that the Battle of the Somme commenced 100 years ago today, it seems appropriate to publish something WW1-related. So, added in, a fine photograph of a mid-teens Sunbeam, serving with the army on the Western Front.

It is likely in a war zone. Lamps were covered to prevent the shiny bits from glinting in the sunlight. As for the passenger. It wasn't customary for senior ranks to ride in the front. Cap Badges or any shiny medals or pips were also removed, but the front area of this gentleman's cap looks to have been photographically altered.

Warickshire was home territory for Jaguar. Chatting with a friend he suggested that it might have been a prototype for the 1½ litre MkIV.
