Thanks for the photos, Rick.
I first saw that style Scammell as a model associated with model railways. At the time, I wondered if it was a model of an actual vehicle as I don't think that any came to Oz, and I had not seen one before.
Do you know if there are many still in captivity, or is this the only one? _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |

Hi Dane, there are a few around, they turn up quite often at steam & vintage rallies.

I noticed on the red Morris Minor van "Bourton on the Water" as signage.
Did you get the opportunity to visit the motor museum there?
The last time I did was in September 1980.
It really is a beautiful village.
Three sightings today :
An "F" registered Vanden Plas 1100 in Trafalgar blue near Betws y Coed.
Second was a silver coloured Jaguar Mark 2 on the back of a transporter taking the turn off for a village about ten miles away.
I know of all the classic Jaguars within a 20 mile radius and this one was new to me. I will find out more.
The third was a very well restored late Land Rover Series 2a 109" in Bronze Green near Llandudno. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Hi
Tewksbury garage around 13:00 a green L reg Mk1 Granada GLX, on the M5 or M6, on a trailer, a Farina MG Magnette in Red over Green but with a couple of lightly brushed Blue panels also saw a mini Riley or Wolseley body as what looked like a grass track racer. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Driving south through the Scottish borders this afternoon. Nice 1930's le Mans Bentley, Jag XK 120, something that looked like a 'breathed on' Austin 7 with boat tail, several TR's and others I have forgotten. There is a good Borders show on this weekend, |

Last Friday, as he's still on school holiday, I took junior to Oulton Park again as it was another test day.
There were quite a few MGs in attendance, practicing for the upcoming series of marque races, plus a few other stragglers including a marvellous E-Type Lightweight rep that was undertaking a few shakedown tests prior to the Revival next weekend. Current BTCC champ Gordon Shedden was at the wheel.
