Morning all,

As it's National Book Day, are you reading anything interesting at the moment? I made a start on a book published in 1949 yesterday evening, describing the Austin Motor Company's 7-day record attempt behind the wheel of an A90 Atlantic at Indianapolis.

I mainly read fiction to pass the time, there's a never-ending supply of it at car boot sales and the like. I hadn't realised it was WBD until this morning when I heard it mentioned on the radio.

Yep Junior went to school dressed (kind of) as Biggles today.

I hadn't realised it was National Book Day, but as it happens I also am reading an Austin book: Making Cars at Longbridge by Gillian Bardsley and Colin Corke. Perhaps 'reading' is stretching the term as there's not a lot of text, but some excellent early photos which are new to me.

I'm currently enjoying the largely unremarkable history of the Burry Port and Gwendreath Valley railway (a minor line in Carmarthenshire). Anoraks on... Smile

I have never been much of one for books, except workshop manuals!

My Uncle asked me to help him advertise this for sale yesterday though:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bible-18th-Century-Old-Bible-with-inscription-Hartwell-Corbyn-feb-5th-1857-/182472605944?hash=item2a7c3700f8:g:DTwAAOSwSlBYttz-

Do you think it will be of interest to anyone?

Confused

It'd stand more of a chance in a book or religious section I think, that one's in an antique furniture category.
