Hi
I am sick of high premiums on insurance due to some selfish people my age who have already written on 4, 5 or more cars. One car, well, it is an accident, learn from your mistakes and all, but I have had an idea, what does everyone think?
Perhaps, newly passed drivers should only be allowed 3rd part fire and theft insurance, this could be the way it is until you are 20 or 21, so that they have to think about driving, as if the write there car off, or damage it, and they are to blame they will get no payout, it will cost them and punish them in a way. That would also bring insurance premiums down.
I think this is the way forward, I am prepared to be ripped apart on this one, but I feel strongly about it!
Cheers

I agree with that apart from what Rick said about a compulsory re test if you write a car off which is a bit harsh imo as it isn't always your fault.
Otherwise i entirely agree as im 20 and get a bit miffed at insurance premiums even though i have 2 years no claims! |

Hi
I think the re-test could work, if you were the cause of the crash. Then if people turn around and say it is well out of order, young drivers etc, just say well drive carefully and you will be ok!
Cheers
